We are so happy to show the before and after pictures of this beautiful home. A Realtor introduced us to the owners that had inherited the home. It was large beautiful home that had been well loved, but over time had become outdated. The owners knew that in order to sell the home as quickly as possible and for the best value they needed to update to sell! I am so happy to say that once the updates had been completed the house had a contract on it in a little over a week. I can always see the charm and beauty … the vision of what could be … However, I have to tell you that even after many years of remodeling I am always in awe of the outcome … the transformation!
I know I always say that painting makes such a big difference, but it is because it does! A fresh coat of paint throughout makes it look like new and a slight change in color removing the yellow undertone provide an updated look. Wallpaper was removed in the kitchen and bathrooms walls painted a light gray in contrast to the white cabinets. The dark paneling in the study was painted a light gray. Amazing difference if I do say so myself!
The lighting in the kitchen was changed to remove the older style light box and LED cans were added with a decorative light over the island. Out with all the old gold light fixtures, cabinet and door hardware and in with new oil-rubbed bronze which complimented this traditional house with a great updated look. Beautiful new wood floors were installed in the front entry, living, dining with new light gray carpet installed on the stairs and throughout second floor.
In the master bath, we installed new white subway wall tile in the shower with a beautiful gray arabesque accent tile. New quartz counters on the vanities and tub surround, as well as new gray ceramic floor tile in a staggered joint pattern. New oil-rubbed bronze plumbing fixtures, lights and hardware completed the transformation. Master bathrooms are often one of the things that help sell the house and this remodeled bathroom definitely had the charm.
